Verified by Beams and other trust marks
The Verified by Beams mark confirms you're current on insurance, credentials, ID, and background checks. It's a condition of being on Beams, not a level differentiator.
Beams verifies insurance, licences, identity, and background for every builder on the platform. These are conditions of being on Beams at all — not differentiators between builders. The trust marks reflect that.
What the Verified by Beams mark confirms
- Public liability and employer's liability insurance — current and at the required levels.
- Business registration — company or sole trader, registered.
- Identity — verified.
- Background checks — completed and clear.
The mark appears on every active builder's profile. It's a baseline statement: this builder has cleared the network's onboarding and is current on its standing requirements.
Trade accreditations
Separately from Verified by Beams, you can hold trade accreditations — Gas Safe, Part P, CSCS, others. These show as additional trust marks, alongside Verified by Beams. The article Trade accreditations on your profile covers them.
What it isn't
Verified by Beams is not the same as your Builder Level. A new Verified-tier builder and a Top Builder both carry the Verified by Beams mark equally — it's a baseline. Your Builder Level (Verified, Established, Advanced, Elite — confusingly the same word as the trust mark) is the differentiator.
When the mark is removed
If a required item lapses — for example, an insurance policy expires without renewal — the Verified by Beams mark is paused on your profile and lead allocation is paused. Once you've reinstated, the mark returns.
What this means for you
Keep the underlying items current and the mark stays current. The article Updating insurance and other compliance items covers the upload flow.
