Builder Levels: how they work
Four levels — Verified, Silver, Gold, Platinum — earned through the work you do on the network. This signals your track record and quality to customers.
The four levels
Every builder on Beams holds one of four levels: Verified, Silver, Gold, or Platinum. Your level shows on your public profile and signals your track record to customers comparing quotes — higher levels carry more weight in that comparison, and unlock perks as you climb.
Your level doesn't set your quoting limits. How many live quotes you can hold and the largest job you can bid on are set per builder, based on your own delivery record — the section Limits and job access covers those.
How you move up
Every builder starts as a Verified builder, and you move up the levels by doing great work. We look at the things to determine a builder's level:
- Points: You earn 100 points for each quote that you submit through Beams
- Rating: Your overall rating is based on customer feedback received after a site visit, after a quote is submitted, and after a project is completed.
- Reviews: The volume of reviews you receive
To move up to the next level, you must meet the following conditions based on your activity over the previous 90 days:
Tier | Points | Rating | Reviews |
|---|---|---|---|
Verified | 0 | - | - |
Silver | 500 | 3.5★ | 10 |
Gold | 1,000 | 4.0★ | 15 |
Platinum | 2,000 | 4.5★ | 20 |
So, if you are a Verified builder, to move up to Silver level, you need to do the following within the last 90 days: submit at least 5 quotes (giving you 500 points), receive at least 10 pieces of feedback, and the average score must be at least 3.5 out of 5. If you don't meet all three conditions then you'll remain on Verified.
When are levels changed?
You can move up to the next level as soon as you meet the conditions required for that level.
In addition, all builders have their level re-assessed at the start of each quarter (1 January, 1 April, 1 July and 1 October). It is only at these points that your level can be moved down.
We'll notify whenever your level changes, so you'll know where you stand.
Quote promptly and deliver well, and both scores — and your level — take care of themselves.
