Builder Levels
The four-tier system, points, scores, and the Top Builder badge.
- Builder Levels — the four tiersEvery builder sits in one of four levels — Verified, Established, Advanced, Elite. Your level determines which jobs you can take on and the perks you unlock. It's recalculated each quarter.
- Limits and perks at each levelHigher levels unlock larger projects, more concurrent work, and greater visibility. Limits cap by maximum project value, outstanding quotes, and live projects. Perks compound at each tier.
- Quarterly cadence and sticky statusLevels are set on the first day of each quarter and hold for two quarters — current and next. A bad quarter doesn't drop you immediately; you have time to recover.
- StreaksStreaks accumulate across quarters and only reset on a specific failure. They sit on your dashboard and on your public profile once they cross the display floor.
- The Top Builder annual badgeA year-long recognition modelled on Thumbtack's Top Pro. Earned across the year, awarded in January, displayed for the whole following year. Shareable artwork too.
- The points subsystemPoints are the day-to-day mechanic builders interact with. Earn for quotes, site visits, completed projects, customer feedback. Lose for late, missed, or low-quality activity. Reset quarterly.
- The two scores — Lead Responsiveness and Project-DeliveryLead Responsiveness Score (median Time-to-Quote) decides who sees a lead first within a tier. Project-Delivery Score (Site Visit Rating + Project NPS) is the public star rating customers see.
- Verified by Beams and other trust marksThe Verified by Beams mark confirms you're current on insurance, credentials, ID, and background checks. It's a condition of being on Beams, not a level differentiator.
