Updating your contact details and preferences

Update your email and phone number in your account settings. To change notification preferences or bank details, email us.

This article covers what you can update yourself and what goes through us.

What you can edit yourself

Open your dashboard, go to Settings, and update:

  • Email — used for login and notifications.
  • Phone number — used for any direct contact from us or your builder.

That's it for self-serve today. Wider settings — notification preferences, communication-style preferences with your build advisor — aren't editable from the account yet.

What goes through us

  • Notification preferences. If you'd like to opt out of marketing or non-essential notifications, email us at hello@beamsrenovation.com and we'll set that on the account. (Operational notifications about your project — milestones, contract events, safety items — you can't opt out of, because they're how the project runs.)
  • Bank details for refunds. Email us. We'll verify identity and update. We don't accept bank-detail changes through WhatsApp, text, or chat — only email after verification.
  • Transferring the primary account holder. If you're moving the project to another person, contact us.

What you don't need to do

You don't need to update your address every time you move; the project address is tied to the project itself. If you have a future project at a different address, that's a new project record.
