Your dashboard at a glance
Your dashboard is the home for your project — contracts, payments, milestones, the materials tracker, and the people on your team. Here's what each section does and where to find it.
Your dashboard is the home for your project. Most of what you need to do, see, or sign lives there.
Project overview
The landing view of your project. It shows:
- The project name and address.
- The current stage you're in (planning, design, quoting, contracting, build, snagging, sign-off).
- Key dates — your target break-ground date, the next milestone due, the current Materials needed by date.
- A short progress summary so you can see at a glance where the project sits.
Your Team
A list of the Beams people on your project — your planner, your designer if you're using one, your build advisor — along with your builder once they're selected, and your Joinery Partner if your project includes one. Each has their name and contact details so you know who to reach for what. The article Who you'll work with from start to finish covers each role in more depth.
Documents
Your contracts and signed documents. Inside the Payments tab you'll find your signed Home Improvement Contract (HIC), any Joinery Improvement Contract (JIC), and any signed change orders. The article Where to find your contracts points to the exact location.
Payments
The money side of the project. You'll see:
- The funds in your Beams Account, ring-fenced for your project.
- Each milestone, its status (upcoming, in evidence review, approved, paid), and what evidence the builder has uploaded.
- The full payment schedule, with amounts and expected dates.
- Any change orders, their status, and any pre-funding you've done for them.
This is also where you'll come to fund the construction milestone before break ground.
Milestones
When a milestone is ready for your approval, this is where you act. You'll see:
- The milestone, its description, and the agreed value.
- The evidence your builder has uploaded (photos, certificates, notes).
- Options to approve, ask a question, or decline approval if something isn't right.
The article How to approve a milestone covers what to do at each stage.
Materials tracker
Every item on your project, with its current status — to be ordered, ordered, on its way, received. Suppliers, order references, expected dates, comments. The article How the materials tracker works covers how the tracker gets set up and how to run it day-to-day with your builder.
Where to start
If you've just signed up, the planning call is the first event in the project overview. If you're mid-project, the active milestone or the next upcoming payment is usually the right place to look. The dashboard surfaces "what needs your attention" prompts at the top of the overview, so anything time-sensitive is hard to miss.
If you can't see something you expect to see, ask your build advisor or planner. The platform is improving steadily; sometimes a feature exists somewhere a customer hasn't yet found, and sometimes it's genuinely on the roadmap — both worth knowing.
Mobile and desktop
The dashboard works on mobile and desktop. Critical actions — milestone approvals, contract signatures, funding payments — are designed to be doable from your phone.
