Your profile — what's Beams-managed and what's yours
Your public profile has two layers — Beams-managed information at the top (level, ratings, trust marks) and builder-managed content below (photos, services, intro, Q&A).
Every builder in the network has a public profile. It's split into two layers: a Beams-managed header at the top, and builder-managed content below. The header sets out the trust signals; the body is your space to tell customers about your work.
Beams-managed header
We compute and display:
- Your current Builder Level — Verified, Established, Advanced, or Elite.
- The Top Builder ribbon if you've earned it for the current year (e.g. "2026 Top Builder").
- The Verified by Beams mark.
- Trade accreditations you hold (Gas Safe, Part P, etc.).
- Star rating — your Project-Delivery Score, scaled to 5 stars, with verified review count.
- Median time-to-quote.
- Active streaks above their public-display floor — for example, "5 quarters at Elite" or "43 quotes on time in a row".
You don't edit the header. It updates automatically as the underlying metrics change.
Builder-managed body
You manage:
- Your name and photo.
- Intro blurb — a short pitch in your own voice. Three or four sentences works well.
- Services offered — the kinds of work you take on.
- Service area map — postcodes you'll work in.
- Accepted payment methods.
- Photos with captions — including before/after pairs where you want them.
- Q&A / FAQ block — questions you commonly get, answered up front.
- Optional intro video — coming in a later phase of the platform.
The article Building a profile that wins jobs covers what works in each section.
Reviews
Reviews collect at two moments: post site visit and post project completion. All are labelled "Verified — hired through Beams" and shown with sample-size context (e.g. "rating from 12 completed projects"). You can post a single response to any review.
Project history
Your profile shows completed projects with location (e.g. Camden, Lambeth — full addresses aren't published), project type, customer rating, and photos.
