Where Beams operates
Design and procurement are available nationwide. The build network sits inside the M25.
Beams has three parts to the service, and they work across different geographies. The short version: design and procurement are available anywhere in the UK; the build network is inside the M25.
Design — nationwide
Our designers are based in London and work remotely. Design calls run by video, drawings and renders are produced and shared digitally, and a designer never needs to be on site to do their part of the work. Wherever you are in the UK, you can use the design service.
Procurement — nationwide
The Beams partner-supplier network covers categories that distribute nationally — kitchens, sanitaryware, lighting, tiles, paint, hardware, joinery. Most partners deliver anywhere in mainland UK. If you're working with a Beams designer, they'll specify products from suppliers that can reach you. If you're not, you can still access the partner-supplier discounts on the categories that distribute to your area.
Build — London only, inside the M25
Our network of vetted builders is based in London. We've built the build side carefully around a single region rather than thinly across the country, because the quality bar relies on real, recent, in-person knowledge of the builders we put in front of customers. That means the build phase of a Beams project is only available inside the M25 today.
If your project is just outside the M25 and you're keen to work with us, get in touch and we'll tell you honestly whether we can help. We expand the network gradually, and we'd rather say no than commit to something we can't deliver well.
What this means for you
If you're outside London, the design and procurement halves of Beams are open to you — you can have a Beams-designed project built by a builder you find yourself, and you can still get access to the partner-supplier discounts. If you're inside the M25, the full Beams experience including the build is available.
