How does Beams make money?

Beams earns revenue in three simple, transparent ways:
1. Design Services (£150/hour)
We charge an hourly rate for our professional design support. This covers everything from early planning and creative direction to 3D renders and materials lists. You only pay for the time you use.
2. Shared Trade Discounts
We receive trade discounts from our network of trusted suppliers, often up to 40% cheaper than retail prices. We pass a portion of these savings directly on to you, and keep a portion as payment for our procurement services.
This means two things:
- You still pay less than retail prices.
- Our share helps fund the work we do behind the scenes—bundling deliveries, reviewing specifications, managing lead times, and carrying out compliance checks that help your project run smoothly.
3. Commission from Builders
Builders in our network pay a % commission on projects that they run through Beams. This fee helps fund our contract management and payment protections, which safeguard both sides.
Great builders want to be part of the Beams network because we bring them well-prepared projects, handle contracts and milestone payments, reduce admin, and ensure they get paid reliably. That lets them focus on what they do best — delivering excellent builds.
