How materials payment work

Beams makes paying for your materials simple, transparent and organised.
You choose the products you love, suppliers confirm final pricing with trade discounts, and Beams keeps every payment, invoice and update in one place.

- Keep every invoice, contact detail and payment record in your dashboard.
How it works
1. Choose your materials
Open ‘Materials’ in your dashboard to build your list. You can:
- Browse and add products from the Beams catalogue.
- Start from a curated look for inspiration.
- Work with a Beams designer if you want guidance.
Prices shown are manufacturer RRPs. Your actual total may be lower once suppliers confirm discounts.
2. Approve your list
Once you’re happy your list is complete, mark it as Ready for supplier check. This sends your selection to Beams’ procurement team.
3. Supplier check
We share your list with approved suppliers in the Beams network. They:
- Verify your list for completeness and compatibility (e.g., matching fixtures, fittings and finishes).
- Provide final quotes with trade discounts – often up to 30% below RRP.
Your dashboard updates with the discounted total ready for payment.
4. Make payment
You pay directly through Beams, keeping everything in one place. Under Payments → Documents, you’ll find:
- Supplier invoices
- Contact details for delivery questions
Info on returns or replacements
What happens next
Once payment is made, your supplier will confirm delivery dates directly with you or your builder.
