A proficient contractor is the linchpin of any successful project, and we aim to ensure that you collaborate with someone who energises your renovation ambitions. Our robust matching process facilitates the matching of contractors to homeowners based on the distinct characteristics of each project.
1. Finding your match
We initiate by refining our contractor network according to precise project parameters such as location, insurance, and scope to identify a core group of potential partners. This guarantees that your contractor possesses the necessary experience in your locality, the appropriate licensure & insurance coverage, and the specialised skills to execute your unique scope.
Following this, we consider previous project performance and give priority to contractors with the highest project ratings. Assignments are granted to contractors with a track record of successful results, and each contractor’s performance is assessed at the conclusion of every Beams project to ascertain that they uphold a top-tier standard of work. Everyone in our network has earned, and continues to earn, their spot with every project.
We then cross-reference prior completed Beams projects to verify if any qualifying contractors have worked directly in your building, if relevant. This is because we've discovered that contractors with prior experience in a building are significantly advantaged in comprehending a building's existing conditions and prerequisites.
Finally, we review eligible contractors to determine who are most suitable for your project based on their availability and your project timeline. Our goal is to match your project with the best suited contractor whose schedule aligns with your desired commencement date. By considering each contractor's capacity, we predict timelines to help maintain a manageable workload for our network. If your timeline shifts or we identify unique requirements for your project, we may need to find a new partner or work with both parties to arrange another start date.
2. Face-to-face meeting
Once matched with a contractor, we advocate for you to engage with them digitally or face-to-face at your earliest convenience and confirm an excellent match. This meeting provides a chance to learn more about them, convey any pertinent considerations, and conduct a site tour. This is an ideal opportunity for your contractor to assess your home’s existing conditions and prepare for the commencement of work. You can also discuss the Beams scope of work and any project extensions you might be considering.
3. Contractor Match Guarantee
Your contractor will be a key partner in making your renovation a triumph. You will collaborate directly with them to address any queries or concerns that emerge during the build to keep your project on course. Our matching process is designed to pair you with the contractor who can deliver your project most proficiently and effectively. In the end, our aim is to match you with a contractor you are delighted to renovate with, and our Contractor Match Guarantee offers rematch options to aid you in finding the perfect partner for your project. If we can't find a solution that fits your budget or a contractor you're thrilled to renovate with after three introductions, we will refund your deposit or, if applicable, provide your design approval assets and a pro-rata refund to your Beams Support payment.
4. Feedback
Upon completion of each project, we depend on homeowners to provide feedback about their experience with the contractor. This feedback enables our contractors to perpetually improve, applauds their accomplishments, and ensures the next Beams homeowner also enjoys a great experience.
