Ailis and Steve were looking to make much better use of the space in their top floor bathroom. With a warm palette and oversized fittings, this bathroom brings character and homeliness to a previously clinical space.

Plan

Every renovation starts with a plan. Ailis and Steve described their vision to us, we made a roadmap to get them into their dream bathroom as quickly as possible.

Design

Ailis and Steve wanted their new bathroom to feel like a welcoming part of their home, rather than a utility space. But it also had to be practical, as they have young children. After their 3 design calls with Simon, they’d created a calming, spa-inspired design that suited their lifestyle and budget to perfection.

Build

We paired Ailis and Steve with Matt, a contractor from our Beams network. Matt’s a bathroom specialist, who has completed 37 bathrooms in the last 10 years (including one for the founder of Soho House). Matt and his team meticulously crafted every intricate detail, and were “a joy” to have around the house.

Completion

Taking the hassle out of bathrooms

“I looked at a few different approaches - from designing it myself (!), to getting a designer and braving the London building market, to working with a turnkey provider. I can’t tell you how lovely it is not to have to do it ourselves - I wouldn’t even know where to start!”
