A small firm doing serious work

Build Place is a small renovation firm, founded in 2023 and based in Harrow, and growing fast on the back of the work Beams brings them. They're registered with the Federation of Master Builders and CITB, and before joining Beams they were already doing kitchens, bathrooms and full house renovations across London. What's changed is where the work comes from, and how much of it turns into finished, paid jobs.

The work comes to you

Every quote Build Place has sent since January has been for a customer Beams brought them. Here's what that's produced.

1

82 quotes since January

About nine a month, each one for a customer already on the Beams platform, not a cold lead.

2

1 in 5 quotes won

Of the 56 quotes where the customer's decision is known, rather than still deciding, Build Place won eleven.

3

Picked half the time

When a customer went ahead with a builder at all, they chose Build Place in 11 of those 22 decided quotes.

4

13 jobs, £393,000 and counting

That's the total value of work Build Place has won through Beams so far, with new quotes going out every week.

The jobs are worth having

These aren't odd jobs. The average job Build Place has won through Beams is worth about £39,000, and five of their thirteen wins have been between £30,000 and £60,000: full kitchens and bathrooms, the kind of work worth the time a proper quote takes.

You get paid, and quickly

The customer's money is held on the Beams platform before work starts, and it's released at each milestone the customer approves. Build Place has been paid £257,000 so far, including VAT, and the typical milestone request is approved, and paid, about two days after Alex asks for it.

He says he's never had to chase a customer for money through Beams. He also says the contracts and change orders built into the platform save him a lot of admin time, time he'd otherwise spend on paperwork instead of the job.

It builds up fast

Build Place's first payment through Beams came in March 2026. By May they were being paid around £60,000 a month, and that pace held through July.

Alex says the steady, predictable workload is what's let him plan further ahead and start hiring, rather than just staying busy. Growing the business, not just filling the diary, is the part that matters to him.
